Resveratrol turns white fat into beige fat. It is easier to eliminate beige fat than white fat.

  1. Rejuvenates the skin

Red wine has anti-aging proteins which stimulate the protein cells called sirtuins. This action possible holds the cells in the body for long and thus keeping the skin look younger.

  1. Fights cardiovascular diseases

The two antioxidants present in red wine are resveratrol and quercetin. These antioxidants promote healing, prevent blood clotting and reduce inflammation.

Italian Clinical Study reveals that the radiation therapy used to treat the breast cancer in women have lesser adverse effects in a woman who is a moderate red wine drunker compare to a woman who doesn’t drink red wine at all.

It is believed that the red wine helps to replenish the cells of the skin. It fights against radiation.

  1. Reduces stress

A study from the University of California reveals that red wine has relaxing properties. The grape skin contains an enzyme that plays its role in deactivating the cellular stress response system.

(Endorphin is a group of hormones secreted within the brain and nervous system and having a number of physiological functions. They are peptides which activate the body’s opiate receptors, causing an analgesic effect.)

When Endorphin increases, the tension decreases.

  1. Erectile dysfunction

  1. Protection from sunburn

When the ultra-violet rays touch the skin, they activate reactive oxygen species. The reactive oxygen species oxidize fats, DNA, and other large molecules. These all, in turn, stimulates other enzymes harming skin cells.

The flavonoid present in red wine inhibits the formation of the ROS (reactive oxygen species) in skin cells those are exposed to sun rays.
